1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using ThesisAI, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What ThesisAI does

ThesisAI helps you research, plan, draft, review, and export theses, dissertations, and other scholarly documents. It uses AI language models on your inputs and sources, and it checks numbers and citations against those sources.

ThesisAI is a research and writing aid, not a guarantee of academic success. Review, edit, and verify everything it produces, and take full ownership of it, before you submit it anywhere.

3. Academic integrity

You alone are responsible for how you use what ThesisAI produces. In particular:

• Verify every citation, fact, and claim before you submit work to an institution.
• Follow your institution's academic integrity and AI use policies, including any rule to disclose AI assistance.
• ThesisAI does not guarantee that generated content is accurate or complete.
• We are not liable for academic misconduct findings that result from misuse of the service.
• Expert Help is advisory: methodology, statistics, review, and formatting. Our team does not write your thesis for you.

4. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to use ThesisAI.
• Keep your account secure, and do not share it with others.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use ThesisAI to:

• create content meant to deceive, defame, or harm others
• reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the platform
• upload malware, illegal content, or content that violates the rights of others
• get around plan limits or payment systems
• do anything illegal

6. Plans and payments

• Prices are in US dollars and are shown on the pricing page. Stripe processes all payments.
• Standard and Pro plans are billed monthly and renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time under Manage billing on your Account page, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
• The Thesis Pass is a single payment for six months of access. It does not renew.
• When a plan ends, paid features stop until you choose a plan again. Your projects are not deleted.
• Purchases made on the original ThesisAI are honored as project credits that do not expire.
• Refunds: we do not refund a monthly plan once its billing period has started, or a Thesis Pass once it is bought. If you think you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days.
• We give existing subscribers 30 days' notice of price changes.

7. Your content

You own the content you create with ThesisAI, including drafts, outlines, and uploaded files. You give us a limited licence to process and store your content only to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your work, and we do not use your research content to train AI models.

8. Availability

• We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
• The quality of AI output depends on the underlying models and can vary.
• We may change, suspend, or discontinue a feature with reasonable notice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, ThesisAI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from your use of the service, including academic outcomes, data loss, or errors in AI-generated content.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. The courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will email you at least 14 days before a material change takes effect. Using the service after that date means you accept the change.
