Moving from ThesisAI 1 to ThesisAI 2.0
ThesisAI 2.0 is live. Your account and your work came across with you. Here is what changed and what to do.
1. Sign in with Google
- Click Sign in with Google and use the same email address as your ThesisAI 1 account. That connects you to your old account and your projects.
- Everyone signs in again once. Old ThesisAI 1 logins no longer work.
- If you sign in with a different Google account, you will see a new, empty account. Sign out and use the right email.
- If your ThesisAI 1 email is not a Google account, write to support@thesisai.live before you sign in, and we will help.
2. Find your thesis
- Open your project from the dashboard.
- Your full thesis text is in a chapter called Imported v1 thesis. Your original outline is there too.
- ThesisAI 2.0 did not split your text into chapters. If you want to work chapter by chapter, copy each part into its chapter in the outline.
3. Export your work
- Work you have not changed exports exactly as it was. Open Export and pick PDF, Word (DOCX), LaTeX, Markdown or slides. You do not need a plan for this.
- This export has not been through the 2.0 checks, and the export records that.
- Once you change anything, 2.0 checks your thesis before it exports: chapter review, citation check, whole-thesis review and an abstract. The Export panel lists anything still missing.
4. Plans
- What you bought in ThesisAI 1 still counts, on its original terms: a subscription runs until its end date, a project you paid for keeps its access, and an unused project credit can still start a new project.
- ThesisAI 2.0 has no free plan. Starting new work needs a plan: Standard at $19 a month, Pro at $29 a month, or a Thesis Pass, one payment for six months, priced by level. See pricing.
- Each plan has a limit on active projects. To free a slot, archive a finished project. Archived projects still export, and you can restore them from the dashboard.
5. Files you uploaded
- Files you uploaded to ThesisAI 1 came across as text. Supervisor feedback is marked as supervisor feedback.
- If a file holds data you collected yourself, such as survey results or measurements, click Use as my data on it. ThesisAI 2.0 then reads its numbers and can use them as evidence in your chapters.
- Do not use this for papers you cite. Those belong in your sources.
6. What did not come across
- Share links. Make a new one in the Export panel.
- Review suggestions from ThesisAI 1.
7. What is new in 2.0
- Research that checks itself: every source is confirmed against CrossRef and OpenAlex.
- Numbers you can defend: statistics, charts and tables come from your own data.
- Supervisor-style review of each chapter and of the whole thesis.
- A whole thesis in one run: chapters drafted, reviewed and repaired, the abstract written, and an email when it is done.
